How ApexErg handles your information

Overview

ApexErg helps athletes and coaches capture rowing workout data, review workout history, and manage athlete access. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, and athlete profile details.

We also collect workout-related information you submit through the product, including screenshots of erg monitor results, parsed workout metrics, workout dates, distances, times, splits, and related training history.

How We Use Information

We use this information to operate the service, authenticate users, associate workouts with the right athlete, provide coach and athlete dashboards, improve workout parsing accuracy, and support account recovery and customer support.

SMS And Messaging

If you submit workout screenshots by text message, ApexErg and its service providers may process your phone number, message metadata, and attached media in order to receive your message, validate the sender, and convert the workout image into structured workout data.

SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. If you opt in, ApexErg sends workout screenshot submission, processing-status, and workout-summary messages. Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time.

ApexErg does not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use this information only to provide ApexErg messaging services and as otherwise necessary to operate the service.

Third-Party Services

ApexErg relies on third-party infrastructure and communications providers to operate the service. These providers may include hosting, database, authentication, AI image parsing, and messaging vendors that process information on our behalf to deliver the product.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run ApexErg, and with coaches or team staff who are authorized to review athlete training data within the product.

Data Retention

We retain account and workout information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain athlete history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the information we store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can request password resets through the app, and you may contact us if you need help updating account information or addressing privacy-related questions.

Stripe Identity Verification

If ApexErg asks you to verify your identity, we use Stripe Identity for document verification. Stripe collects identity-document images, facial images, ID numbers and addresses, advanced fraud signals, and information about devices that connect to its services. Stripe shares verification results with us and may use this information to operate and improve its services, including fraud detection. You can learn more in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

ApexErg stores only the Stripe verification-session reference and its outcome, rather than your document images, biometric data, or verified identity details. If you decline biometric verification or Stripe cannot verify you, contact us for an alternative verification method.

To request deletion of identity-verification data held by ApexErg, contact support@apexerg.com. We can redact the associated Stripe VerificationSession; for deletion from Stripe’s servers or to revoke consent for Stripe’s technology improvement, you must also contact Stripe Support.
